Dental Examination

The Dentist will assess your oral tissues, oral health, your teeth, your restorations, and advise you accordingly. It is recommended to have a dental check up at least once a year.

Treatment with Hygenist

The job of the dental hygienist is to professionally clean your teeth, ensuring that your mouth is fresh, healthy and free from tartar. She helps to treat and prevent gum disease and point out any problem areas and ways in which you can improve these.

Tooth Whitening

Extrinsic stains can appear on teeth over time as a result of drinking and eating certain foods. Teeth also naturally turn more yellow with age. Tooth whitening improves the existing colour and your smile with whiter, brighter teeth.

Restorative Treatment

Where a tooth has decay or accidental damage, your dentist will recommend a dental filling. They are two types of filling, Silver (amalgam) fillings or white (Composite) fillings. The filling will replace missing tooth structure.

Children’s Treatment

Deep pits and grooves on the surfaces of the back teeth are known as fissures. As they are very narrow it can be difficult to clean them with the toothbrush. Bacteria can accumulate there and cause decay with time. Regular check-ups, cleaning and preventive fissure sealant are essential for preventing decay and tooth lost.

Crowns, Onlays and Veneers

Crown is a cap that is placed over a tooth and held in place by dental adhesive or cement. Crowns are used for several reasons, as a protective cover, for badly decayed teeth or cracked teeth, as a permanent restoration for teeth with large fillings, to correct minor problems in natural teeth like spacing and irregular shape or severe discolorations.

Bridges

Bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth. Bridge work offer a secure and permanent alternative to a denture and can be blended with your natural tooth colour to be as discrete as possible.

Dentures

Dentures are used when teeth are missing and needs to be replaced. They can be fitted in the top and button of the mouth. An acrylic or metal plate will have crowns attached where required. A full denture incorporates a plastic gum coloured arch with a set of crowns attached.

Mouth Guards

Night guards are recommended for patients who grind or clench their teeth. Sport guard is a custom made, rubber like cover to protect your teeth and gums, specially during sport to reduce incidence.

Root canal treatment with specialist endodontist

Root canal treatment also known as endodontics, is a dental procedure designed to treat infection or irreversible inflammation of the nerve or pulp of a tooth. This may be caused by deep decay, a fracture of the tooth or severe periodontal disease. This Treatment is carried out by Dr. Sassani, specialist endodontist in our practise.

Extraction

Periodontal Treatment

Gum disease is a condition where the tissues surrounding the teeth have become inflamed due to bacteria. Periodontitis is when gum disease has progressed to bone lost, causing the tooth to become wobbly. The aim of the treatment of periodontitis would be to prevent further progression of the disease in order to keep as many teeth remaining in your mouth for as long as possible. Dr. Peter Hensel specialist periodontist carries out this treatment.

Implant treatment with specialist/periodontist

Dental Implants are the permanent solution to missing teeth. Unlike conventional bridgework, Implants can provide tooth replacement without the need to cut down adjacent teeth. They have also the added advantage of preserving and maintaining bone in the area around the Implant.
